Florence "Fiddle" Viracola
Florence "Fiddle" M. Viracola, 81 of New York City, died on May 18, 2018. Born in Long Branch to Thomas and Jennie Sardegna Viracola. Fiddle graduated from Long Branch High School and Carnegie Mellon University. She was an actress who resided in New York City most of her life. She starred in various theater productions and televisions shows. Fiddle was most well known being in the Threepenny Opera with Sting, The Rose Tattoo and most notably the movie Easy Money. She wrote many articles for Blackie Magazine. Fiddle cherished her personal frog collection of books, pins and memorabilia. She was predeceased by her brothers Thomas Viracola, Jr. and Joseph Viracola. Surviving are her brother, Langdon Viracola, Dallas, Texas and sister-in-law, Catherine Viracola of West Long Branch and many many nieces and nephews. Her wishes was to be cremated and had a private burial at Mt Carmel Cemetery in West Long Branch. Donations in her memory may be made to NJ Repertory Theater, 179 Broadway, Long Branch, NJ 07740.
