Join us in Chicago for legendary Greek music and songs by George Dalaras, Michalis Tzouganakis, Aspasia Stratigou, and Alexandros Tzouganakis.
George Dalaras begins a series of concert performances in his North American Tour beginning in the famous Apollo Theater in Harlem. The concert tour continues to Atlanta GA, Chicago IL, Toronto ON, and Atlantic City NJ. More cities will be announced.
George Dalaras, apart from his brilliant career as a singer, is also a musician, as he often likes to say. In this performance, along with singing the songs we all love and know all these years, he highlights his lifelong love of the guitar and other popular instruments. Together with 6 soloist musicians, he performs his favorite songs which are arranged for this group. The concert includes selections from his greatest hits and others that are unexpected, slightly hidden songs that he has had all these years but that are not known to the wider public. He brings all these passions together in this North American concert series.
George Dalaras will share the stage in this concert tour, with Michalis Tzouganakis, who comes from Crete. Michalis Tzouganakis is a composer-soloist in lute and singer. George and Michalis Tzouganakis are connected with a long and constructive cooperation in Greece and Europe and a deep friendship. Joining them is the exceptionally beautiful voice of Aspasia Stratigou and the very young Alexandros Tzouganakis, musician and singer, Michalis’ son, who continues in the tradition.
An original and authentic performance, enriched with love, yearning, closes the distance between musician and audience in ONE breathtaking performance in Chicago.
